soc 3747

Course Description:
In this course, we examine sexuality and how it is perceived, defined, and experienced in the context of society. It is also about how sexuality influences our lives, reflected in the social norms, attitudes and beliefs, through public and private policies and practices, and the social institutions. We will consider how the social construction of sexuality influences our lives both overtly sexual relationships as well as those relationships that are not sexual.
